Mr. Laga’s Anatomy and Physiology students use microscopes to identify human tissues such as arteries and veins.
“I took this class to learn more about the human body because there is a lot about it that I don’t know,” junior Jaclynn Bynum said.
One slide showed the effects of emphysema on the pulmonary artery. Students could see the lack of oxygen in the tissue. Students like junior Lacey Chilek, who wants to be an anesthesiologist, took the class because they want to go into the medical field as a career. Junior Taylor Payne wants to be a physical therapist.
“I enjoy learning more about the human body because it is interesting and what I want to work with in the future,” Payne said.
